This post was last updated in 2024

Hello there my eco-conscious warriors 😊

In recent years, the demand for sustainable and eco-friendly products has surged, and the bedding industry is no exception. As more consumers seek out environmentally conscious options, Australian brands have risen to the challenge, offering a variety of sustainable bedding sets that are not only stylish and comfortable but also kind to the planet. From sustainable cotton bedding to sustainable linen bedding, there are options out there to suit all tastes.

A surprising number of Australian brands offer sustainable bedding options – whether you’re looking to reduce your environmental footprint or simply love the idea of sleeping in natural, tox-free fabrics, these 13 brands offer a range of options that meet both aesthetic and ethical standards.

My usual disclaimer – are these brands 100% perfectly sustainable? I highly doubt it. I based this list on the brands stated commitments on their websites re ethical practices and transparency in supply chains, the materials they use, where the bedding is made and general operational practices. The main focus when it came to bedding was the materials used – here you will find companies that use organic cotton, linen, hemp or bamboo. In many cases, the materials used were GOTS certified. A secondary concern was the dyes used, so you will find many brands that use materials that are Oeko Tex Certified.
